The Penicillin: An Adam Smith inspired cocktail video

cocktail party 300th birthday

June 20, 2023

Two bibliophiles and one bartender create a book and cocktail pairing video exclusively for AdamSmithWorks to celebrate the 300th anniversary of Adam Smith's birth.
BiblioBooze is a team of 2 bibliophiles and 1 bartender creating top shelf book and cocktail pairings as a way to share their love of great writing & liquor with a wider community.
The Penicillin is commonly made and is considered a modern classic cocktail. It was invented by Sam Ross while he was working at the legendary speakeasy Milk & Honey.

VanBibber and Greer thought a cocktail named after one of Scotland’s greatest contributions to the world would be a fitting tribute to Adam Smith, especially given its ingredients leaning heavily on Scotch whisky.

If you're looking for a pairing, VanBibber and Greer recommend dried fruits and nuts but also add that you can never go wrong with a nice charcuterie board.
